1. Crave Spiritual Milk: We are to rid ourselves of sins and crave spiritual milk so that we may grow up and be mature. Evaluate your walk with God, have you craved His words like newborn babies crave milk? Try scheduling in a regular time for your daily devotion and Bible reading, and evaluate it periodically.

2. Our New Identities: We are like living stones being built into a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, with Christ being the cornerstone (vv.4-8). We are also a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, and a people belonging to God (v.9-10); thus, we should abstain from sinful desires and live lives with good deeds (vv.11-12). Reflect upon the four identities in v.9 and see how each identity would affect your daily living and testimony in the world.

3. Submit to Authority: Peter admonished his readers to submit to every authority. Do you have someone to whom you find it hard to submit? In what way(s) that you could improve on that?
