1. Sexual Purity: Paul exhorted the Thessalonians to avoid sexual immorality and to live a holy life. Identify some of the sexual temptations around you, and in what way that you could rightly handle these temptations.  

2. Brotherly Love: Paul reminded the Thessalonians to love one another. Practically, they were to lead a quiet life, to mind their own business, and to work with their own hands (v.11). What are some practical ways that you could demonstrate love towards people around you?

3. More and More: Paul repeatedly encouraged the Thessalonians to do more and more of the good works that they had been doing (vv.1, 10). Reflect upon your spiritual walk, and pray that you could continue to do the good works that you have been doing. Keep on keeping on!

4. Rapture and Resurrection: Paul told the Thessalonians not to grieve for those who are dead in Christ as if they had no hope; because when Christ returns, Christians who are dead will be resurrected, while those who are still alive will be raptured. Thank God for the blessed hope of bodily resurrection and eternal life.
