2 Corinthians 9
Reflect upon how much God has richly given you, and how much you have given to the Lord?

2 Corinthians 9. Which part of 2 Corinthians 9 inspired you the most?
  1. The Need of Preparation: Paul again stressed the need of preparation in giving. Get into a practice of planning for the amount of your whole year’s offering, and setting aside your tithe/offering before each service (i.e. putting it in an offering envelop, etc.).

  2. A Willing & Cheerful Heart: “God loves a cheerful giver” (v.7). Ask God to take away any reluctance in your heart, and ask God to bless His ministry through your giving.

  3. The Abundance of His Giving: The passage is filled with the description of God’s abundance — “God is able to make all grace abound to you” (v.8), “[God] will supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness” (v.10), “you will be made rich in every way” (v.11), and “Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift” (v.15), etc. Try counting His blessings upon you, both material and spiritual, and thank Him for His indescribable gifts.

  4. Your own insight: (fill in yourself)

Meditation and Application:

Meditate on the above questions along with the necessary actions. Meditate on all the goodness that God has bestowed upon you, reflect upon your attitude of giving and make “giving” a response to His love and His indescribable gifts.
