Acts 14
Pay the Price, Invest your Life!

Read Acts 14. Which part of Acts 14 inspires you the most?
  1. The Focus of Ministry: Though the people in Lystra had mistaken Paul and Barnabas as gods and worshiped them, Paul and Barnabas did not take any credit but pointed people back to God. Yes, God could do great things through us; let us not be prideful but point people back to God.

  2. The Price of Ministry: All along, Paul and Barnabas were persecuted; as they say, “We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God” (14:22). There is a price to pay as we trod the narrow way (cf. Matt. 7:13-14), but great is our reward in heaven (Matt. 5:12).

  3. Your own insight: (fill in yourself)

Meditation and Application:

  1. Thank God for how He has blessed you in different areas of your life (i.e. family, ministry, career, etc.), try testifying these to others and give God all the credit and glory.

  2. Thank Jesus for the high price that He has paid on the cross; commit to follow Him regardless of what price you may need to pay to walk the narrow way.
