Acts 17
To many people, God might only be an unknown God, make Him known!
Read Acts 17 (Paul's 2nd Missionary Journey — Thessalonica, Berea, Athens). Which part of Acts 17 inspires you the most?
-
Paul in Thessalonica and Berea: The Jews in Thessalonica “rounded up some bad characters...and started a riot” (17:5) and even went 60 miles west to Berea to cause disturbances (17:13); on the contrary, the Bereans “received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true” (17:11). How do their different responses inspire you?
-
Paul in Athens: Paul was observant enough to notice the altar to an unknown god, thus used that as a bridge to lead into the gospel. Pay attention to the needs of non-Christian friends and start from where they are as we share the gospel.

Meditation and Application:
-
If you were to introduce God to you unbelieving friends, how would you describe Him? Try writing it down on a piece of paper.
-
Pick a few unbelieving friends (or family members) and try writing down some of their needs and backgrounds that you need to pay attention to when you share the gospel with them.
-
Learn after the examples of the Bereans and set aside a time each day to study the Bible.
