Acts 18
Share boldly, for God is with us!

Read Acts 18 (Paul's 2nd Missionary Journey — Corinth). Which part of Acts 18 inspires you the most?
  1. Aquila and Priscilla: How beautiful it is for husband and wife ministering together. Aquila and Priscilla did not only take Paul in and become colaborers of Paul, they also took the initiative to invite Apollos to their home and became his mentors. Could you find a Paul to colabor with and an Apollos to mentor? Start looking.

  2. Paul’s Ministry in Corinth: Paul went to Corinth “in weakness and fear, and with much trembling” (1 Cor. 2:3); yet, God assured him in a vision: “Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent. For I am with you...” (18:9-10). With God’s reassurance, Paul stayed at Corinth for 18 months. May that be an assurance to us in our weakness, as God promised Paul, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness” (2 Cor. 12:9). Trust in the Lord.

  3. Your own insight: (fill in yourself)

Meditation and Application:

  1. Memorize 2 Cor. 12:9 and see in what area of your life that you could apply this promise.

  2. Seek for a prayer partner; and if possible, also for a mentor or become a mentor of someone of the same sex.

  3. Make arrangement for your family members (i.e. spouse, even with children, etc.) to serve together in a ministry (i.e. short term missions, food bank, soup kitchen, Sunday school, ushering, etc.). As Joshua proclaimed, “But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD" (Jos. 24:15). Try experiencing the joy of serving together.
