Acts 25
In our life journey, though striving hard is important, it is the right direction that counts.
Read Acts 25. Which part of Acts 25 inspires you the most?
-
The Stubbornness of the Jews: Sad to see that the Jews were motivated, zealous, and persistent; yet in the wrong way. Striving hard is never enough. As Paul stressed, “I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus” (Phil. 3:14); it is the right direction that counts. Don’t waste your time and energy chasing after the wind. What is your goal in life?
-
The Appeal of Paul: This is the turning point of the whole event when Paul decided to appeal to Caesar. Unfavorable circumstances eventually would bring Paul to Rome to share the gospel. When we are clear of God’s leading and His direction, nothing should sway us from pursuing His will. What are some of the unfavorable circumstances that you are facing? Commit them to the Lord and pray for His leading during this challenging time.

Meditation and Application:
Reflect upon the goal(s) that you’ve been pursuing in the past, would those be considered as the goals that you would like to attain? Please make adjustment or fine-tuning if necessary. What would be the goal(s) that you would like to achieve in 10 years? What are some short-term goals that would lead you to this long-term goal?
