Acts 3
Testify God's transforming power with your transformed life!
Which part of Acts 3 inspires you the most?
  1. The Healing of the Crippled Beggar: Imagine yourself being plagued by being crippled for over 40 years, living on the mercy of the passerby to the temple. Now by the power of the name of Jesus, you are healed; how would you feel? How would you respond to this healing? For the crippled beggar, he jumped, walked, and praised God — demonstrating to the world that he’s now different, transformed, and healed. Likewise, we were all crippled by sin, and when we are healed, shouldn’t we witness to others through our transformed life and praise God for His deliverance? Think of ways that you could demonstrate your transformed life to others (i.e. at work, at home, in church, with friends, etc.).

  2. Peter’s Testimony: Peter did not take credit for this miraculous act but gave credit to Jesus. This could be his once in a lifetime chance to get his fame and glory, but there were only two things that he concerned about: (a) the glory of God, and (b) the salvation of the people. Shouldn’t we carry the same attitude when we serve? Try to think of a few non-Christians whom you know (i.e. family members, friends, etc.), and see in what practical ways that you could start pointing them to Jesus and have them perceive God’s glory.

  3. Your own insight: (fill in yourself)

Meditation and Application:

Meditate on the above questions along with the necessary actions. Focus on how we could be a testimony to God’s transforming power and live a life that glorifies God and blesses others.
