Colossians 4
Prayer changes things! Start praying!
Which part of Colossians 4 inspires you the most?
-
Devote Yourself to Prayer: We are to be watchful and thankful as we pray (v.2), and should pray for the ministries and the ministers (vv.3-4). Reflect upon and evaluate your prayer life; in what way that you could improve it? Make a prayer list to pray regularly for your pastors and ministers.
-
Make the Most of Every Opportunity: We need to make the most of every opportunity (v.5, literally, “redeeming time”). Look at your daily schedule and evaluate how you have been using your time. Note some of your “time stealers” (e.g. internet, TV, etc.), and see in what way that you could use your time more wisely.
-
Speak with Grace: We have to be gracious in our speech. Pay attention to how you speak to others and see in what way that you could speak more graciously. Try to avoid any putdowns and be more encouraging and affirming when you speak to others.
