Ephesians 2
We are God’s masterpiece, saved by grace through faith. Live like one!
Which part of Ephesians 2 inspires you the most?
Ephesians 2 explains the new position that we have in Christ. Individually, we were spiritually dead in our transgressions and sin (v.1), and were made alive with Christ (v.5), being raised up with Him (v.6), and being seated with Christ in the heavenly realms spiritually (v.6). Corporately, we were brought into union with other believers in Christ’s body, the church.

By Grace through Faith: Ephesians 2:8-9 explains that we are saved by grace through faith. Recall when you first came to Christ, what part did grace and faith play in your conversion?
-
To Do Good Works: We are God’s “workmanship” (master piece/work of art) created to do good works (v.10). Note that though we are not saved by work, our purpose is to do good works. What kind of good works do you feel God calling you to do?
-
One in Christ: Christ came to destroy barriers and to restore peace between people. Examine your relationship with others and see if there’s any broken relationship that needs to be restored. Pray and see what steps you need to take in order to resolve the issue and to reconcile with one another.
