Ephesians 3
Be strong and courageous, for God’s power is at work within us.
Which part of Ephesians 3 inspires you the most?
“Having discussed the union of Jewish and Gentile believers in the church (2:11-22), Paul was about to offer a prayer on behalf of these believers. But he stopped right in the middle of a sentence (at the end of 3:1) and digressed on the subject of the mystery of Christ. He explained this mystery and his responsibility to dispense it. Then he resumed his prayer, starting with verse 14.”*

The Mystery: “This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.” (v.6). The fact that gentiles could “be heirs together,” “members together,” and “sharers together” with the Jews was unimaginable, and was indeed a mystery. What other “unimaginable” things God has done in your life?

The Ministry: Paul considered himself “less than the least of all God’s people” (v.8); yet, “by the gift of God’s grace” he became a servant of the gospel (v.7). Do you consider sharing the gospel a privilege of God’s grace, or may feel reluctant or embarrass doing so? Search your soul and explain why?

The Power: God “is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us” (v.20); examine your walk with God and see if there is any area in your life that you lack faith. Thank God for this promise and rely on His power as you face life’s uncertainties.
