Galatians 4
In Christ, we are no longer slaves but sons and daughters of God. Break away from your old bondages and rekindle your relationship with God and with other brothers and sisters.
Read throught Galatians 4. Which part of Galatians 4 inspires you the most?
  1. Break away from Slavery: Through Jesus Christ, we are no longer slaves under sin or under the law, but sons and daughters being made heir to inherit the kingdom of God (cf. 1 Pet. 1:3-5). In what ways have you been a slave to sin or to the law (i.e. bad habits, wrong priorities, etc.)? List down some of your “old masters,” cast them before the Lord and proclaim your allegiance to Him.

  2. Nurture Deeper Christian Relationships: There were mutual concerns and love between Paul and the Galatians (c. vv.14-15). Likewise, we should develop such relationships among brothers and sisters. Think of practical ways that you could nurture such relationships (e.g. support groups, prayer and accountability partners, inviting friends over for dinner/lunch/fellowship, etc.).

  3. Get Rid of False Teachings: The analogy of Hagar and Sarah teaches us that we need to get rid of false teachings (e.g. legalism, etc.). What kind of false teachings have you encountered recently (or in the past)? In what ways that they are different from the truth?

  4. Your own insight: (fill in yourself)

Meditation and Application:

Meditate on the above questions along with the necessary actions. Make plans to strengthen your spiritual walk with God, as well as your Christian relationships with other brothers and sisters, so that you could stand firm against false teachings.
