Hebrews 12
Strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees.
Read Hebrews 12. Which part of Hebrews 12 inspired you the most?
  1. Throw Off Hindrances: The author exhorts us to “throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles” (v.1a). Reflect upon your life and list out some of the things that might have hindered your relationship with God, or some sins that might have entangled you. Confess before God and ask Him to help you throw off these hindrances.

  2. Value God’s Discipline: God’s discipline is a proof of our sonship (vv.5-10) as well as a training ground for our holiness and righteousness (vv.10-11). Reflect upon your spiritual walk and pick out one of God’s disciplinary actions that you have experienced (or one that you are experiencing right now). Write about your feelings and how you have or could have grown through such experience.

  3. Do Not Refuse God: We are reminded not to refuse God (v.25) but to worship Him with reverence and awe (v.28) because God is a consuming fire (v.29). Have you ever experienced this aspect of God? How so or why not?

  4. Your own insight: (fill in yourself)

Meditation and Application:

Meditate on the above questions along with the necessary actions. Focus on how you could “strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees” (v.12).
