Which part of Philippians 2 inspires you the most?

1. Unity of Believers: List the qualities that a believer should have when they are united in Christ (vv. 1-4). Which area is your forte and which is your growth area? What practical steps you could take to improve that? Please be specific.

2. Humility of Christ: Paul exhorted the Philippians to have the same attitude of Christ Jesus. Note the whole process of Christ’s "kenosis" (Greek: “empty”; v.7 “made himself nothing”); what specific attitude(s) could you find in Christ Jesus from Phil. 2:6-8? How could you apply the principles that you learn in your life?

3. Sanctification of the Saints: The Philippians are exhorted to “continue to work out your salvation...” (v.12); note that Paul did not say, “work for your salvation.” The working out of salvation points to the sanctification of the saints, a life-long process of growing in faith. What do you need to do to “work out your salvation” and “shine like stars in the universe (v.15) [i.e. what are some of the areas that you need to grow as a Christian]?

4. The Partnership of Timothy and Epaphroditus: What are some of qualities of Timothy and Epaphroditus as Paul’s partners in the work of the gospel? In what ways that you could model after them in your Christian walk?
