Revelation 17
Fear no spiritual warfare; with God, we shall overcome!
Read Revelation 17. Which part of Revelation 17 inspired you the most?
NOTE:
-
The great prostitute = Babylon
-
Adultery = Believe in the false religions
-
7 Heads = 7 Kingdoms = Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Roman Empire, Anti-Christ (Revived Roman Empire)
-
10 horns = 10 kings = 10 contemporaneous kings of the Revived Roman Empire Alliance
-
The Great Prostitute: Note the adornment of the “great prostitute” (v.4). Her cloths, her jewelries, the golden cup filled with abominable things and the filth of her adulteries, and the scarlet beast that she’s sitting on; all point to the wealth, the status and the power that she possesses — representing the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of the world that could lure you away from your faith. Name some of the things in the world that could become a hindrance to your faith. How could you protect yourself from them?
-
War Against the Lamb: The 10 kings will war against the Lamb and His followers (v.14). Though many of the symbolisms here may be obscure, the battle against evil is real, whether now or at the end time. Don’t be afraid of the enemies, be faithful to God's call and fight a good fight, for we are on the winning side. What are some of the spiritual battles that you’re fighting right now? Commit them to the Lord and be faithful till the end.
