Revelation 19
Jesus is the King of kings and Lord of lords, but is He sitting on the throne of your heart and being the Lord of your life?

Read Revelation 19. Which part of Revelation 19 inspired you the most?
  1. The Heavenly Worship: Four times the word “Hallelujah” was used in the heavenly worship in Revelation 19 (vv. 1, 3, 4, 6). The word “Hallelujah” means “Praise the Lord (Yahweh).” Is praising God (adoration) an important part of your prayer life? Why or why not? Start jotting down things for which you could praise God (e.g. His attributes, His great and awesome deeds, etc.).

  2. The Wedding of the Lamb: The bride of the Lamb (the church) has made herself ready by wearing bright and clean fine linen, which stands for the righteous acts of the saints (vv.7-8). Examine your spiritual walk and see in what way(s) you could make yourself ready for the wedding of the Lamb. What do you need to change in your lifestyle or value system?

  3. The Rider on the White Horse: It is apparent from the descriptions that the rider is Jesus Christ (vv.11-16). He is called the “King of kings and Lord of lords” (v.16). Reflect upon your spiritual life, have you been treating Jesus as the King and the Lord of your life? How so? What could you do to make it better?

  4. Your own insight: (fill in yourself)

Meditation and Application:

Meditate on the above questions along with the necessary actions. Focus on what you need to do to put Jesus back on the throne of your heart and be the Lord of your life.
