1. John was Desperate: The mysteries of the future was written in a scroll sealed with seven seals. John wept and wept because no one was worthy to open the scroll. Do we have John’s desperate desire to know God’s words? Examine your attitude towards God’s words and see how you could improve in this area.

2. Jesus is Worthy: The four creatures and the 24 elders pronounced that the Lamb was worthy to open the seals, and the angels and all creatures joined in the praise. He was proclaimed worthy because of His triumph (v.5), His sacrifice (vv.6, 9, 12), His redemption (v.9), and His transforming His people to be a kingdom and priests to serve God and to reign on earth (v.10). Imagine you were in heaven joining this heavenly praise team, how would you then praise Him? Write down these praise items and use them to praise the Lord as you conclude your devotional time today.
