Revelation 8
Never give up praying! God is approachable, righteous and merciful; commit our cares to Him for His plan is perfect!
Read Revelation 8. Which part of Revelation 8 inspired you the most?
  1. God is Approachable: Back in Revelation 6, the martyrs pray for the avenge of their blood; and the answer is to have them wait a little longer (6:10-11). Here their prayers are answered and have turned into the judgement to the world (vv.3-5). God is approachable and will always answer our prayers according to His timing and His purpose. Though the answers may not always align with our timing and desires, they are better. Do you have prayers that seem to be unanswered? What lesson(s) have you learned from these unanswered prayer?

  2. God is Righteous: God’s judgement during the last days will be severe, and He will judge the world according to His righteousness. We need to live a godly life that is worthy of His calling. Examine your daily living and see in what practical ways that you could live a life of godliness.

  3. God is Merciful: The judgement of the trumpets seems devastating; however, there will be mercy amidst Judgment, and the destruction of the trumpets will only be partial (1/3) and not total. God always gives us opportunities to return to Him according to His mercy. Reflect upon your own life and see in what ways that you need to repent and return to God. Confess your sins and think of ways to deal with the respective temptations.

  4. Your own insight: (fill in yourself)

Meditation and Application:

Meditate on the above questions along with the necessary actions. Remember that God is righteous and yet merciful, approach Him with confidence knowing that He will answer our prayers according to His timing and good will.
