Romans 2
The Heart of the Matter is the Matter of the Heart, align your heart with God’s.
Read Romans 2. Which part of Romans 2 inspires you the most?
  1. Stop Passing Judgment: Quite often, we would pass judgment on or criticize others. Take some time reflecting upon your life and praying for a forgiving spirit, as well as asking for God’s forgiveness on your critical spirit (if any).

  2. Stop Being Hypocritical: It’s not the hearing, the teaching, or the preaching of the law that counts, but the observing of the law that matters. As 1 Samuel 15:22 teaches, “To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.” Read not only the content of God’s words, but try drawing practical principles and drafting actions plans to carry out in your life.

  3. Stop Showing Favoritism: God does not show favoritism in His judgment; let’s treat others courteously and genuinely without deceit. As 1 Pet. 4:8 says, “Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.”

  4. Your own insight: (fill in yourself)

Meditation and Application:

The heart of the matter is the matter of the heart. Take some time to examine your heart and see if you have any critical spirit, hypocritical behavior, or favoritism. Ask God for forgiveness and pray for strength to overcome these weaknesses.
