ROmans 3
We are justified not because we are good, but because God is good!
Read Romans 3. Which part of Romans 3 inspires you the most?
-
God’s Faithfulness: Our lack of faith can never nullify God’s faithfulness. Trust in Him for He could never deny Himself. As it says in 2 Tim. 2:13, “if we are faithless, he will remain faithful, for he cannot disown himself.” Cast all your burdens on Him and trust in His faithfulness.
-
Man’s Sinfulness: There is no one righteous. May we not boast on our good deeds but on our weakness, as Paul says, “I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me...For when I am weak, then I am strong.” (2 Cor. 12:9-10). Let’s confess our sins before the Lord and ask for His forgiveness and empowerment.
-
Righteousness through Faith: Try to identify words that relate to “righteousness” (i.e. justified, justice, righteousness, etc.) and words that relate to “faith” (i.e. faith, believe, etc.), and see how they relate to one another. Take a moment to thank God for making things right for you by grace through faith (3:22-24).
